Simple Step-by-Step Guide: Aluminium Window Painting

Aluminium windows are strong and long-lasting, but their frames often fade, chalk, or clash with modern colours. Instead of replacing them, professional repainting can bring them back to life. Here’s the straightforward process we use at RepaintPro:

1. Clean & Prepare

Every frame is scrubbed free of dust, grease, and silicone. This is the most important step—paint will not bond to a dirty surface.

2. Sand for Grip

We lightly sand the aluminium to create a surface the primer can stick to. Without sanding, even the best paint won’t last.

3. Masking

Glass, bricks, render, decks, and floors are carefully masked so only the aluminium gets sprayed. This is how we achieve the sharp, factory-style lines we’re known for.

4. Priming

Homes: A high-quality all-surface primer goes on first.

Commercial/Industrial: A 2-pack primer system is used for maximum durability.

5. Spraying Topcoats

Using HVLP spray equipment, we apply thin, even coats of your chosen colour. Gloss black, pearl white, monument, and silver are popular options, but any modern colour can be matched.

6. Tape Removal & Detailing

Once dry, all tape and masking come off to reveal crisp edges. This is the “wow” moment—clean lines and a professional finish.

7. Extras

Security screens, flyscreens, and sliding doors can also be removed, sprayed, re-meshed, or serviced to match your new windows.

Why Go Professional?

DIY jobs with brushes or rattle cans often peel, streak, or leave messy edges. Professional prep, priming, and spraying give you a factory-sharp finish that lasts for years
