We are not here to sell you anything. But we are here to solve the problem of what to do with those ugly windows that don’t match anything anymore!
From beachfront homes along The Esplanade to hillside properties backing onto National Park and character-filled houses near James Street—Burleigh Heads is full of iconic homes. But one thing we see over and over again? Dated, discoloured, or just plain ugly aluminium windows that bring down the look of an otherwise beautiful property.
That’s where we come in.
RepaintPro specialises in onsite aluminium window painting across Burleigh Heads and the wider Gold Coast. We transform faded or mismatched powder-coated frames into sharp, clean, modern finishes that make your home look brand new.
Why So Many Burleigh Homes Need Window Respraying
Let’s be honest—Burleigh Heads has some of the most desirable homes in Queensland. But many were built or renovated during a time when bronze, mission brown, cream, or green aluminium windows were the norm. Now? Those colours date a house instantly.
We see homes with brand-new renders, gorgeous timber decks, modern landscaping… and then frames that make everything feel 20 years older.

That’s where aluminium window painting is the perfect solution.
✅ No need to rip out and replace
✅ No risk of damaging render or cladding
✅ No need for new glass or trims
✅ No delay or demolition required

We paint your existing windows onsite, using professional-grade products and a proven prep and spraying system that leaves them looking like they were installed yesterday.
The RepaintPro Difference: Burleigh’s Most Trusted Window Painters
We’re not a franchise. We’re not subcontractors. We’re not here to sell you a dream and deliver a shortcut.
RepaintPro is a four-generation family business with over 100 years of painting experience passed down through the team. We’ve worked in homes from Currumbin to Hope Island—and we know what it takes to deliver a job that looks incredible and actually lasts.
What makes us different?
✅ We don’t skip prep steps just to move fast ✅ We never spray without cleaning and degreasing first ✅ We use premium adhesion primers for powder-coated aluminium ✅ We apply multiple top coats—not just one and done ✅ We tape and mask with care so the finish is flawless
We treat every Burleigh job like it’s our own house—and our reviews show that.
What Does Aluminium Window Painting Actually Involve?
Let’s break it down. Painting aluminium windows properly takes more than just a spray gun and a drop sheet. Every step matters—and if it’s not done right, the paint will peel, chip, or flake within months.
At RepaintPro, here’s our full process:
1. Surface Cleaning and Wax Removal
Aluminium frames build up years of dust, salt, grime, and even sunscreen residue—especially in coastal areas like Burleigh Heads. Before we do anything else, we:
Wash the surface thoroughly Apply wax and grease remover Wipe back every surface to remove invisible contaminants
This step is critical. If it’s skipped or rushed, the paint will not bond—no matter what primer is used.
2. Mechanical Sanding and Keying
We sand every frame by hand and machine to create a textured surface the primer can bond to. This isn’t a quick scuff. It’s a thorough abrasion of the entire surface.
This helps:
Remove loose powder or flaking coatings Create a physical bond for the primer Flatten out minor imperfections or pitting in the frame
We’ve seen so many “painted” windows in Burleigh where the job was rushed—and within a year the paint is peeling away. We won’t let that happen to your home.
3. Detailed Masking and Setup
Before spraying, we mask every edge, track, sill, and corner using:
Professional-grade green painter’s tape Film and paper masking Plastic sheeting and drop sheets
This is where the job is won or lost. A clean tape line, protected glass, and smooth overspray protection is what separates a DIY job from a RepaintPro finish.
We take time here, because when the tape comes off—you’ll see the difference immediately.
4. Primer Application for Aluminium Adhesion
We apply a specially formulated aluminium primer designed for low-surface-energy (LSE) metals. This isn’t hardware-store spray primer—it’s a professional-grade product suited for powder-coated aluminium.

It creates a perfect base for the colour coats to grip onto. We choose primer colour (white or black) based on the final finish—so lighter topcoats pop and darker ones stay rich.
5. HVLP Spraying of Final Top Coats
We use HVLP spraying systems (not airless) to apply multiple even coats of your chosen colour. The finish is smooth, even, and looks like it came out of the factory.

We apply:
At least 2–4 top coats, depending on colour and coverage Light sanding between coats if needed Final inspection of gloss levels and coverage
One coat? That’s never enough. Paint needs proper film build to last. We don’t take shortcuts.
What Colours Are Popular in Burleigh Heads?
Burleigh has a mix of architectural styles, and colour trends vary depending on whether you’re coastal, hinterland, or in town. But here’s what we’re seeing most:
???? Satin Black – classic, modern, and works with almost everything
???? Monument or Charcoal – perfect with render and timber cladding
???? White or Surfmist – great for coastal, Hamptons-style, or modern homes
???? Dune, Jasper, or Woodland Grey – ideal for natural finishes and bushland backdrops
We can colour match to Dulux, Colorbond, Haymes, Resene, or your specific swatch. Want to see samples? We can show you recent jobs with each colour.
Repainting Federation and Colonial Windows in Burleigh
Burleigh has no shortage of colonial-style aluminium windows—those multi-pane designs with internal bars. They’re often cream, bronze, or faded white, and while the layout is charming, the colour is usually not.
We’ve painted dozens of these in Burleigh to bring them up to date without losing their character. A satin or gloss black finish completely modernises the window while preserving the detail.
And yes—we mask around the bars, not over them
