Aluminium Window Repainting on the Gold Coast: Durable Transformations for Homes & Businesses
If you’re searching for a way to modernise your home or commercial building without the cost of full window replacements, aluminium window repainting is the smart, cost-effective solution. At RepaintPro, we specialise in onsite aluminium window spraying across the Gold Coast and surrounding areas. From Palm Beach to Nerang, from Broadbeach to Mudgeeraba, we’ve transformed thousands of homes and commercial shopfronts with our professional, long-lasting finish.
Whether you’re located in a beachfront property in Mermaid Waters or managing a retail centre in Pacific Fair, our window repainting process is the same meticulous and refined system every time — designed for both aesthetic impact and maximum durability.
Why Repaint Aluminium Windows Instead of Replacing?
Modern homes are increasingly moving away from old-fashioned cream and mission brown window frames. Replacing aluminium windows, however, is expensive and often disruptive. That’s where our specialised spray-painting system comes in. We offer a high-end finish without the need to rip out existing frames.
By cleaning, priming, and applying high-performance coatings, we make your windows look factory-new again. Gloss black, white, silver, or modern matte tones – the colour choice is yours. We even offer premium coatings including 2PAC finishes for commercial projects.
Where We Work
RepaintPro services all of the Gold Coast and hinterland suburbs including:
Mudgeeraba, Reedy Creek, Bonogin, and Worongary Robina, Varsity Lakes, and Palm Beach Clear Island Waters, Bundall, and Broadbeach Mermaid Waters, Southport, Ashmore, Nerang, and Carrara Pacific Fair, Merrimac, and Benowa
We also take on larger commercial projects along the East Coast of Australia where multiple shopfronts are involved.
Our Proven Window Painting Process
Every job begins with surface preparation. The longevity and adhesion of our coatings depend on how well we clean and prepare the aluminium. That’s why we take it seriously:
Step 1: Deep Cleaning
We start by thoroughly washing the window frames using specialised products that strip away oxidisation, built-up grime, and any previous coatings. This creates a clean, reactive surface.
Step 2: Masking and Taping
Next, we professionally tape and mask around your glass, bricks, render, or cladding. Our taping process ensures razor-sharp lines and zero overspray. A recent video we shared shows our team carefully removing tape from newly sprayed gloss black windows — the clean finish is what sets us apart.
Step 3: Priming
We apply a high-performance primer suitable for aluminium. Depending on the final colour, this may be white or black primer. For example, darker finishes like black and charcoal benefit from black primer for better depth and coverage.
Step 4: Spraying Final Coats
We spray two full finish coats using a professional-grade airless system. These coatings are designed to adhere to aluminium, with excellent UV and weather resistance. For commercial projects, we use 2PAC systems — a two-part, chemically cured finish with extra hardness and durability, perfect for shopfronts and high-traffic environments.
Residential and Commercial Projects
Whether you’re updating a residential home or refreshing a row of retail shopfronts, our process adapts to your needs.
Residential
Most residential projects — from double-storey homes in Robina to single-level villas in Palm Beach — are completed in a few days. We can repaint your aluminium window frames, sliding doors, garage doors, security screens, and more.
Commercial
For commercial shopfronts, especially those needing a high-end, durable finish, we offer 2PAC coating systems. These are ideal for businesses in Clear Island Waters, Pacific Fair, Broadbeach, and beyond. We can quote larger commercial jobs anywhere along the East Coast of Australia, provided the scope includes more than three shopfronts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you paint powder-coated aluminium?
Absolutely. Powder-coated aluminium is no problem for us. Our specialised cleaning and etch-priming process prepares even powder-coated surfaces for a long-lasting, professional finish.
How long does it last?
We are fully QBCC licensed, and every job comes with a 6-year workmanship warranty. Many of our jobs have lasted over 8.5 years with no signs of breakdown. We only use premium-grade materials and industry-approved systems.
Do I need to be home during the repainting?
You’re welcome to be home, but we wear full respirators and recommend that clients are outside or away for 4–5 hours while spraying is underway. The smell usually disappears quickly afterward.
What about security screens or flyscreens?
We can remove flyscreens and re-mesh them after the window repainting is complete. Alternatively, if you’d prefer to leave them in place, we can mask them carefully or paint around them depending on the condition.
Do you do multi-storey buildings?
Yes. We repaint 2 and 3-storey homes and commercial buildings. For safety and insurance compliance, we organise legally required scaffolding as part of our quoting and planning process.
Project Duration
Most residential jobs are completed within a week, including preparation, spraying, drying, and final inspection. We aim for minimal disruption and a fast turnaround so you can enjoy your newly updated windows without a lengthy renovation.
