Our Professional Repainting Process
RepaintPro uses a refined six-step process that ensures long-lasting results—even on powder-coated aluminium:
Deep Cleaning: We remove contaminants like oxidisation, dirt, and grime from the surface. Surface Prep: We lightly sand and scuff surfaces to improve adhesion. Masking & Protection: Windows, walls, and hardware are masked off with precision. (Watch our tape removal videos for an example of the clean edges we leave.) Priming: We apply a specialised primer designed specifically for aluminium. Both black and white primers are used depending on the final colour. Spray Painting: Multiple coats are applied using HVLP or airless sprayers to deliver a smooth, professional finish. Detail Clean & Final Check: Tape is carefully removed, and the area is cleaned so you’re left with perfect lines and no overspray.
We use Dulux, Haymes, and other premium paints, offering colours from white, black, and monument to metallics and custom tones.
Can You Paint Powder-Coated Aluminium?
Yes. RepaintPro’s system is designed to adhere to powder-coated aluminium. Many people believe it can’t be done, but that’s a myth. When prepared and sprayed correctly, powder-coated aluminium can be painted over successfully—and last for many years.

What About Flyscreens and Security Doors?
We can remove and repaint flyscreens and diamond grille security doors as part of your quote. If needed, they can also be re-meshed after painting.
Let us know during your quote request whether you want them included. There is a flat fee if they’re to be sprayed along with your windows or doors.
How Long Does It Take?
Most jobs are completed in under a week, depending on the number of windows, doors, and whether additional elements like gates or security screens are included.
Our work is minimally invasive, and in many cases, the property can be accessed without you needing to be home.
Do I Need to Be Home During Spraying?
No. You’re welcome to be home, but during spraying, we use protective gear and recommend you stay outside for 4–5 hours or out for the day. There’s some smell during application, but it dissipates quickly once the job is done.
