Asked Questions About Aluminium Window, Door, and Fence Spray Painting
At RepaintPro, we know you may have plenty of questions before committing to repainting your aluminium windows, doors, gates, or fences. We’ve compiled answers to the most common queries to help you understand our process and what to expect.
How can I get a quote?
Quotes are now easily obtained through our online process. Simply provide the following:
A clear photo of each window, door, or gate you want repainted Whether flyscreens or security screens will stay on or be removed The colour you want to use Your location
With this info, we’ll provide an accurate, no-obligation quote for your project. Of course, for any custom requirements or if you prefer, you can call or text Steve directly on 0403 311 125.
How long will the job take?
Most projects are completed within a week from start to finish. Smaller jobs, such as a few windows or a single garage door, often take 1–2 days depending on weather and complexity. We always confirm your job’s expected timeframe during quoting.
What colours can I choose from?
We work with premium paint brands like Dulux, Haymes, and Resene offering a vast range of colours including:
Popular neutrals like black, white, silver, and Monument Satin, low-sheen, semi-gloss, or gloss finishes Custom colours and metallic finishes (note: metallics and some light colours may incur a small premium)
We can usually match your existing colour if you provide a good photo in natural daylight.

Can you paint powder-coated aluminium?
Yes, we specialise in repainting powder-coated aluminium. Our expert cleaning, priming, and finish coats ensure long-lasting adhesion and a professional, durable finish.
Do you remove and reinstall flyscreens or security screens?
Yes. We can remove flyscreens and security doors to repaint your frames. If you want your flyscreen mesh replaced or re-meshed, just let us know so we can include that in your quote.

Do I need to be home while you work?
You’re welcome to be home while we’re working, but when we spray paint, we wear protective masks due to the chemicals used. For your safety, it’s best if you stay outside for 4–5 hours or leave the property while spraying is underway. The paint smell usually dissipates quickly afterward.
What weather conditions are required?
Spraying can’t be done in rain, extreme wind, or very high humidity. We monitor weather closely and schedule your job during ideal conditions for the best finish and drying times.
Can you repaint 2- or 3-story homes or commercial buildings?
Yes. We have the expertise and insurance to repaint multi-storey homes and commercial sites. Legally required scaffolding is organised for these projects to meet safety regulations.
Will the paint peel or fade over time?
We only use premium, exterior-grade primers and paints designed for Australian weather. Our cleaning and prep process ensures excellent adhesion. We back all workmanship with a 6-year QBCC license warranty. Some natural fading may occur over many years, particularly on darker colours exposed to direct sun.

Do you spray interior frames?
Our specialty is interior and exterior spray painting. Interior frames are very hard to film and photograph due to the dynamic range of the interior and light from outside so that’s why just about all of our images and videos are shot from the outside.
Do you spray brick, render, or timber?
Our process is focused on aluminium and Colorbond metal surfaces. We can provide separate quotes for other surfaces if required.

Can you do weekend or after-hours jobs?

Yes, we can schedule around your availability, including weekends or outside regular business hours, particularly for commercial clients or larger projects.
Can you explain your process briefly?
Our spray painting process for aluminium surfaces includes:
Washing and degreasing all surfaces thoroughly Removing contaminants such as oxidation and chalking Masking carefully to protect glass, walls, and fittings Applying a specialist primer suited to aluminium or powder coat Finishing with two top coats of premium exterior paint for durability and a flawless finish
